About Me

I am Claudia, Garden Designer, but first and foremost a gardener of the green spaces I have called home.

I listen.
I observe.

My passion and dedication to the care of green spaces began more than 30 years ago, when as a little girl I was simply a spectator at the grape harvest my grandparents hosted every September at their home in the hills of Lucca — an event that felt like a celebration among friends, all actively immersed in a bucolic atmosphere so far removed from their everyday lives.

Over the years I have nurtured my passion through studies at the Scuola Agraria di Monza.

My most recent continuing education course on Mediterranean gardens deepened my understanding of the water needs of plants and how to reduce them.

My professional development is constantly evolving.

About Stilnovo

Stilnovo refers to the medieval poetic movement, but it originates as the expression used by Bonagiunta da Lucca — my city — to describe Dante’s verse “Donne ch’avete intelletto d’amore”, highlighting its new simplicity and luminosity compared to the poetic formalism of the time.

Beauty, poetry, love, simplicity, light, and innovation: these are the guiding values of Stilnovo Studio. Our vision in every project — Stilnovo Studio will be your magic wand, like Dorothy’s ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz. “There is no place like home”.

How we will help you

We are all capable of recognising and appreciating beauty, but the pace of daily life often distracts us.

Stilnovo helps those who want to give new meaning to the green space they inhabit, reconnecting them with nature and a renewed sense of physical and mental wellbeing.

Because living in a fulfilling, detail-oriented environment has a simple yet powerful effect: it brings us back to ourselves, to our wellbeing.

Why do I do this?

The backdrop of my childhood has always been green.

During my primary school years I eagerly followed my grandfather as he proudly and expertly tended his vegetable garden and olive grove, or I would escape the summer heat to the high hills of Villa Basilica, where my other grandfather had a farmstead with a magnificent apple orchard.

Two grandfathers who left me a wonderful legacy of freedom: that of always finding time to love nature and care for the space around us — even if accustomed to a more, shall we say… urban profession!
